CEI Belize FAQs

Answer: Yes! The safety of our guests is our prime concern. Our vehicles carry passenger’s liability Insurance.
Answer: All of our team members are licensed by the Belize Tourism Board to conduct tours in Belize.
Answer: Deposits are not required for cruise ship guests. Payments can be made when guests are picked up at the Port Terminal. For any guests booking from Belize City or San Pedro Ambergris Caye, a 50% deposit is required and the remaining balance is due at the beginning of your tour.
Answer: We accept all credit cards and cash payments (US or BZE).
Answer: No charge will be issued for rescheduling tours for different times or dates if a 24 hour notice is received. If a guest provides a cancelation notice 48 hours in advance, 50% of their deposit will be refunded and one week in advance will be refunded 100 %. However, if notice is received any later than this time period, there will be no refund. Guests who leave the tour early or do not join their scheduled tour will not be supplied a refund.
Answer: For cruise ship passengers: In the event that the cave site is closed, we have alternatives that we can offer from our tour packages. We are up to date with the managing authorities and will not begin the trip with knowledge of a closed park.

For guests coming from Belize City and San Pedro: Due to sudden and fluctuating weather patterns which are beyond our control, alternate packages will be provided  to allow you to continue enjoying the Belize experience, but no refund will be offered.
Answer: The transfer tenders usually takes about 20 minutes. However, if the weather conditions are not good, sometimes delays can occur. However, the tour takes about four hours so a slight delay will not hinder your cave or zip line experiences. However, CEI BELIZE will assess all factors, such as time and traffic, and if we feel that the tour cannot be done to ensure your satisfied experiences, then we will advise you and offer other options. It is very important to us that you leave with memorable experiences of Belize.
Answer: There are no restrictions on photography if it is for personal use. However, if you intend to do commercial photography, permits must be obtained, and there are fees that must be paid. We can also arrange for commercial permits.
Answer: The river is usually a refreshing temperature of 70-75 degrees F /21-24 degrees C
Answer: CEI BELIZE and Splash Restaurant & Bar offer alternative meals for guests with allergies/vegetarians. Any allergy issues must be stated within a 48 hour notice.
